Our Seasonal Macroalgae Sampler embraces the cycle of Florida’s coastal ecosystems. Throughout the year, we encounter shifting waves of red, green, and brown macroalgae. Each season highlights different species, colors, growth forms, and ecological roles. This rotating mix offers an easy way to explore that natural diversity.
Every sampler is different. Some seasons bring branching reds, others feature leafy browns or fast-growing greens. Because availability depends on tides, temperatures, and weather patterns, each portion feels like a small snapshot of the reef at that moment in time. It’s perfect for refugiums, planted displays, and nano aquariums.
What You’ll Receive
- A curated mix of 3–5 macroalgae species, selected at packing time based on health, structure, and seasonal availability.
- Each will include a combination of our healthiest reds, greens, and browns
- Portion size equals roughly 1 pint combined volume, though density varies by species.

Note from the Collectors
Every macroalga we offer is hand-collected, acclimated, and observed by our team before shipping. While we carefully try to remove other algae, sponges, and tiny hitchhikers, it’s possible that a few “goodies” from the reef may tag along. It’s a natural part of receiving genuine wild-collected specimens!
Many species may arrive paler or whitish in color. This is completely normal. Macroalgae shift their pigments inward during transport to protect from light and stress; color returns within a few days under good aquarium lighting and flow.

We ship via 2-Day service on Mondays and Tuesdays only to ensure specimens arrive healthy. You’ll receive a notification with tracking information as soon as your order ships. Because this sampler reflects true seasonality, included species may change weekly.
