Coralline Algae - Small Clusters

Description

Coralline Algae – Small Clusters

Tiny clusters, big coralline potential.

What You Get

These hardy pink coralline clusters come from natural sand and rubble beds in the Atlantic and Gulf. Unlike delicate branching forms, these compact clusters grow in shifting substrates and dynamic conditions, making them some of the toughest wild coralline forms available for aquariums.

Each cluster is (or started as) a small calcified nub that can help seed desirable pink coralline throughout your system. Scatter them in the substrate, tuck them into rock crevices, or place them in a refugium for passive spore spread.

Why It Is Algaesome

  • Great for seeding: Multiple small fragments increase the chances of coralline spreading to rock and equipment.
  • Hardy origins: Naturally survives in shifting sand environments, making it more resilient than many branching forms.
  • Natural pops of color: Adds subtle pink accents to low rockwork and substrate.
  • Perfect for nanos: Small, manageable pieces with big visual impact.
  • Flexible placement: Easy to distribute around the tank for maximum effect.

A Note from the Collectors:
These small coralline clusters naturally form in and around sand beds near reefs. They often hold a bit of fine sediment or tiny bits of sponge, shell, or other algae. We rinse each specimen before shipping, though some natural material may remain... it's simply part of receiving genuine wild-collected coralline.

Stable calcium, alkalinity, magnesium, and steady lighting help ensure the best results. Clusters and pieces can be placed on the sand bed, nestled in rock crevices, or kept in a refugium to spread coralline spores throughout your system.

We ship via 2-Day service on Mondays and Tuesdays only. Tracking is provided as soon as your order ships.
