A
spongy green algae that features dark green, cylindrical branches, connected by a
single holdfast to rocks, shell fragments and hard bottoms. The
branching is irregular and features soft fuzzy filaments at the
tips resembling the fingers of a sponge. Individual species of
Codium are abundant in shallow water habitats worldwide. A cooler
water specimen that will not grow well in aquariums with temps
above 80 degrees. You will receive several clusters between 3-4" in diameter.
This is a winter algae species that is only available a few months
every year.
