Macroalgae For Marine Reef Aquariums: Purple Brush Gorgonian ecosystems

Purple Brush Gorgonian (Muriceopsis flavida)

An attractive photosynthetic gorgonian that features a deep purple color with stiff irregular shaped, cylindrical branches. Gorgonians regularly shed tissue to remove buildup of sediment and algae from forming on their skeleton. All photosynthetic gorgonians require 4-5 watts per gallon to thrive. Like many corals, it also filter feeds, so weekly feeding is recommended for optimal health. We offer single specimens mounted on reef plugs that range from 5-8" tall.
