Macroalgae For Marine Reef Aquariums: Corky Finger Gorgonian ecosystems

Corky Finger (Briareum asbestinum)

The Corky Finger Gorgonian is a photosynthetic Bryozoan. This species of gorgonian is actually a close relative of the star coral. It features a thick (1") purple body with pale yellow polyps. All photosynthetic gorgonians require strong lighting to successfully keep in the aquarium. Like many corals it also filter feeds, so weekly feeding is recommended for optimal health. We offer single sized specimens from 4" to 6" unmounted.
